reStart inc. is currently undergoing the design of low income housing development to provide shelter and support services to combat homelessness among young adults with mental handicaps. Located in the desirable Waldo neighborhood of Kansas City, this fifteen unit housing complex includes a community room to be used by tenants and the community. Design + Make studio is working with reStart to design and fabricate custom furniture which will accommodate the multitude of potential uses and arrangements imagined.
